Walter D. Ehlers Senior and Community Center – Buena Park, CA
Portfolio | Civic
Despite its small size, the 9,250 square foot senior social hall has its share of exposed architecturally intensive detailing to rival a much larger facility. Exposed Alaskan Yellow Cedar girders form the roof of the multi-purpose room and kitchen, with operable partitions able to divide the space. A raised platform/stage is the primary focus of this room. A high volume hallway with exposed wood girders and bolted connections escorts visitors from the entry into the buildings’ functions.
