Lynwood City Council Chambers – Lynwood, CA

The new 10,600 square foot wood-framed building is distinguished by a glass enclosed entry lobby that serves the new Council Chambers and the City Council Offices. Double cantilevered, thin structural steel framing allows the lobby roof to appear weightless above visitors. The sloping floor of the Chambers has a raised dais and the high volume space is accentuated by a floating exposed heavy timber ceiling.
